CULM
ORCHESTRA
VALLEY
Culm Valley Orchestra is a community orchestra which evolved from the Culm Valley Music Society (CVMS) which was founded in October 1987. CVMS was a community music society based in Uffculme and surrounding villages. After the CVMS dissolved in 2000 the orchestra has continued to meet fortnightly as a community orchestra providing the opportunity for musicians in the Blackdown Hills and beyond to make music together and bring concerts of orchestral music to the Blackdown Hills and the surrounding area. These concerts are free but a retiring collection is held and the proceeds divided between orchestral funds and the designated charity.
